Electric scooter bust leads to major drug trafficking charges in Vilvoorde

Vilvoorde (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): A young man with a history of drug offenses was caught speeding on an electric scooter in Neder-over-Heembeek leading to the discovery of a large cannabis operation and evidence of drug dealing at his home in Vilvoorde.

The police in Neder-over-Heembeek stopped a young guy riding his electric scooter too fast at 70 km/h way above the usual speed limit. He confessed to having cannabis on him and also mentioned having more drugs at his place. Because of this the police searched his home in Vilvoorde to find more evidence of any illegal stuff. The police search at the guy’s house found a lot of proof connecting him to drug dealing. They discovered 1 kilogram of cannabis showing it was more than just for personal use probably a big operation. Besides the drugs they also found 1,600 euros in cash which might be from selling drugs. They took a precise scale and lots of packaging materials tools commonly used in selling illegal substances. All this evidence suggests the young man was part of a big cannabis distribution scheme.

The guy who had previous run-ins with the law for drug offenses got into more trouble after a recent arrest.The guy with his history of breaking the law and all the evidence found has to go to court in Brussels for the new charges. They will look at what he did this time along with his past crimes which could mean serious trouble for him. The court will check how much he was involved in selling drugs and if they find him guilty,he might end up in jail affecting his future a lot.
