Belgium (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): A police commissioner, J.R., faces allegations of rape from a woman in 2019, with a new claim from an ex-partner revealing a history of misconduct. The court has delayed the proceedings.

It has been reported that the things supposedly happened in 2019 and 2014, but the commissioner says it’s false. The court delayed looking into the case. A 32-year-old woman complained about Commissioner J.R. in June 2019, and that’s when the case came up. J.R., a policy advisor at the Standing Committee of the Local Police, attended a two-day seminar in Machelen in May 2019.

What Evidence Supports Allegations Against Commissioner J.R.?

The woman said that the commissioner followed her to her hotel room and raped her, according to the employee of the hosting company. The investigation into the assault claim against J.R. revealed a new development from a 2014 incident. While questioning J.R.’s ex-partners for patterns or evidence, one ex-partner shared that she was also a victim of his sexual misconduct.

The ex’s disclosure made the investigators check J.R.’s past actions more to see if this was a one-off or something he did often. This new information is important for understanding J.R.’s actions and judging the credibility of the current claims. The findings from these interviews played a key role in the investigation and judging of the claims against J.R. The lady and the commissioner used to live together, and years after they broke up, they met at a meeting. J.R. asked her to dinner, but in the restaurant’s parking lot, he made her perform oral sex on him. J.R. said the woman’s complaint was a false claim in his police hearing.
