Celebrating Belgium’s health and fitness achievements at Grand place

Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper): Belgian athletes will be celebrated at Brussels’ Grand Place on August 12 following the Paris Olympics. The event honors all participants especially gold medalist Remco Evenepoel and features fun activities.

Belgium’s athletes will be honored in Brussels’ Grand Place on Monday August 12th after the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics. This according to the Belgian Olympic and Interfederal Committee (COIB). The Mayor of Brussels Philippe Close proposed that after Remco Evenepoel’s gold medal. Evenepoel was already greeted by people in Brussels in 2022 after his Vuelta win and world championship.

What Activities Will Celebrate Belgium’s Olympic Champions on August 12?

The Committee of International Badminton has confirmed that August 12 will be the day the champions are coming home to celebrate. They did well in the competition and this celebration is supposed to acknowledge their effort and success. It will comprise joyful activities meant to recognize and celebrate such amazing achievements of theirs.

The ceremony will also be for all athletes of Team Belgium including medal winners and those who did not capture medals. Belgium sent 165 athletes to Paris.Nobody knows that who will be on the Town Hall balcony.
