Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Brussels will host the “Fusion” New Year’s Eve event at Heysel Stadium on Dec 31, 2025. DJ Brieuc, Arteventia, and the City organise music, the Atomium laser show, and fireworks.

As VRT News reported, Brussels will celebrate New Year’s Eve with a large event at the Heysel Stadium. The evening starts at 9 p.m. with a DJ set by Brieuc. Later, a 3D laser show will be projected onto the Atomium.

How will Brussels celebrate New Year’s Eve 2026 at the Atomium?

At midnight, fireworks will light up the sky to mark the start of 2026. The event is called “Fusion” and is organised by Brussels Major Events and the City of Brussels. Arteventia designed the entire show, including the laser projections and the fireworks.

Police checks will be conducted at the 3 entrances to the stadium: Keizerin Charlotteelaan, Miramarlaan, and Atomiumlaan. In addition, it is important to remember that setting off fireworks is illegal and not allowed on private property. Fireworks set off in defiance of this ban can lead to confiscation and fines for those responsible.

A temporary ban on shared and electric scooters will also be in place in the Brussels-Capital Region. The ban begins at 12:00 noon on December 31, 2025, and lasts until 9:00 a.m. on January 1, 2026. Authorities introduced this rule to prevent scooters from being used as projectiles during the celebrations.

The City of Brussels is preparing for its New Year’s Eve celebration with another major event at Heysel Stadium this year. Many of the city’s largest parties are held at various landmarks around the city, including the Atomium, a famous landmark built for the 1958 World Expo.

The last few years have seen thousands of attendees enjoying live music, light shows, and fireworks. To ensure public safety at this year’s New Year’s Eve celebration, the City has prohibited anyone from bringing personal fireworks and riding electric scooters through the event area.
