Brussels Police respond to knife fight suspect still at large

Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper): A person injured in a knife fight is recovering after quick medical assistance. Police ensured safety at the scene but the suspect fled and no arrests have been made.

The badly injured person is reportedly faring much better. According to the police the condition of the individual improved considerably. Though the injuries were bad quick medical help took care of the serious part of their condition. The badly injured person is out of danger and no longer in mortal danger from their injuries. They may need more medical assistance and time to recuperate but at least they are no longer in a critical condition. Now the main aim will be to keep on with the treatment and ensure that they recover completely.

What happened during the knife fight at Rue de Laken?

At about 8:35 the police were in a position to answer a call about people fighting with knives on the corner of Rue de Laken and Boulevard Antwerps. On arrival at the scene of the crime the officers found one victim still conscious in a very poor state. Preliminary examination showed that the victim was awake but still required urgent medical attention for serious wounds. Quickly the police officers safeguarded the scene and administered first aid to the injured man or woman. They had called for emergency medical assistance to administer first aid care while keeping safe everybody else who was at the site.  They had responded quickly in their efforts to help the person get well again and start an investigation regarding the occurrence.

Help for the victims arrived from the police first aid was performed. It was made sure everything was fine and a safe area around the place was fixed in advance. This safe zone keeps everything secured until the paramedics come in and take care of injured people and handle it further. For some time because of this the Yer Metro Station was closed since the person who did it got nailed. As of this time no one has been arrested in connection with the incident.
