Brussels police investigate drowning of bound man in canal

Brussels (Brussels Morning Newspaper): On Tuesday morning a Romanian man was discovered dead by drowning in a canal in Brussels. The Federal Police have launched an inquiry and are asking for assistance in finding a suspect.

The emergency services were alerted in Brussels on Tuesday morning at about 9 a.m. to Jules de Trooz Square. First responders found a man in a canal. His hands and legs were tied up together by yellow rope and a padlock. He was trussed in such a fashion as to appear intentional even violent. The man found bound in the canal in Brussels had been saved but he later succumbed to death at the hospital that very day.  The Federal Police are working to establish precisely what took place and who may have been responsible for it.

Who is the Suspect in the Brussels Canal Drowning Case?

The police are seeking a person who is approximately 1.83 meters tall has long brown hair and was last sighted in light colored jeans from F&F a blue and white Sheltersuit jacket as well as blue, orange and white Asics training footwear. They think he is Romanian and his name could be Razvan Sebastian Marinica. The authorities are requesting assistance to find him and receive additional intel concerning the inquiry
