Brussels Police Conduct Major Operation Against Kidnapping Ring

Brussels (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): Police conducted searches at 12 locations in Brussels, arresting ten suspects linked to a kidnapping and assault case from April. The operation involved 88 officers, resulting in three charges and one release under conditions.

 Last Tuesday, the police searched around 12 places in the area because they started looking into things back in April after an incident in Evere. The person was grabbed and hurt in a car but got away and told the cops. They caught two people near the victim’s car, which started a considerable investigation. The investigation found 13 people they thought kidnapped, hurt and did illegal money stuff to the victim and others.

What Were the Results of Tuesday’s Police Searches?

On Tuesday, lots of cops, 88 in total, went to search the suspects’ homes in areas like Evere, Woluwe-Saint-Lambert, Anderlecht, Ganshoren, and Watermael-Boitsfort. The police in Brussels-North said everything was fine and there were no problems during the operation. Ten people were arrested, six went to the judge, and three were charged. One of them got let go with some rules to follow.
