Ghent (The Brussels Morning newspaper): Bpost recovered delayed packages after a quick response, assigning a new mailman. A van thief was arrested after a police chase using helicopters, drones, and a built-in tracker.

Mathieu Goedefroy, a spokesperson for Bpost, said he was relieved that all the delayed packages have been recovered. He mentioned, “We are very happy that all the parcels have been recovered.” Although there was a delay, Bpost acted quickly to fix the problem.

What steps did Bpost take to resolve package delays and address the van theft incident?

It has been said that to make sure the delayed packages were delivered quickly, a different mailman was assigned to do the deliveries the next day. This change was needed because the original mailman, who was supposed to deliver the packages when the problem happened, was still upset by what happened. It has been said that the incident has affected the mailman a lot, which is why a new person was chosen for the deliveries that day. The new mailman finished the deliveries and made sure all the packages got to the right people, even if they were a little late. Bpost cares about fixing problems and keeping their customers happy, even when things go wrong.

The van thief has now been taken to court and is officially arrested. He was caught after a big police chase that used a lot of resources. The chase ended in Maldegem, where the police finally caught him after a lot of hard work. The authorities used a helicopter and a drone during the chase to help track the suspect from the sky. These flying units gave a clear view of what was happening, helping the ground police work together better. The stolen van had a built-in tracker, which was very important for finding and following it during the chase.
