Kathleen Funchion is an Irish Member of the European Parliament (MEP) representing the South constituency since the 2024 European Parliament election. A dedicated Sinn Féin politician, she has served as a Teachta Dála for Carlow–Kilkenny since 2016. As an MEP, she plays a key role in shaping EU policies on regional development and EU-UK relations, serving on the Committee on Regional Development and the EU-UK Parliamentary Partnership Assembly. Passionate about social justice and national sovereignty, Funchion is committed to advocating for the interests of Irish citizens at the European level.
