Dr. Maria-Oraiozili Koutsoupia was born in July 1993 in Veria. She attended the Law School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where she obtained her bachelor's degree in 2015. Later, she pursued two postgraduate degrees at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specializing in Public Law and International Legal Studies with a focus on Public International Law. Subsequently, she completed the third cycle of her postgraduate studies by participating in the Advanced Master program on Intellectual Property & Information, Communication, Technology Law at the Law Department of KU Leuven University. In July 2022, Maria-Oraiozili earned her Ph.D. from the field of Public Law at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens for her thesis on "Information Entities and Decision-Making," laying the foundations of "Administrative Law of Information." Since 2015, she has been working as a lawyer for law firms in Athens and Brussels, and in the past, she also worked at the European Parliament. From 2022 to the present, she serves as the President and Co-founder of the National Institute of Artificial Intelligence Law, Rythmisis. Maria-Oraiozili is multilingual, regularly contributes articles to scientific journals of Public Law and Technology, and published her first legal-themed book in 2020.
