David James McAllister is a German politician who has served as a member of the European Parliament since 2014. A member of the Christian Democratic Union and the European People's Party, he currently holds the position of vice president of the European People's Party and vice chairman of the International Democrat Union. In February 2017, he was appointed Chair of the European Parliament Foreign Affairs Committee.
