Ardooie (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Two cars crashed near Ardooie during evening hours between Friday and Saturday. Both vehicles ended up in a field because of the forceful collision. Authorities transported a 20-year-old girl and a middle-aged couple to the hospital.

Two cars crashed during late Friday night hours in Ardooie, which led medical authorities to transport three injured passengers to hospitals. The collision took place at the Roterijstraat and Meulebeeksestraat intersection, involving a young female driver of twenty years of age and a middle-aged pair. Emergency responders had to rescue the young woman from her vehicle because both cars flew into a neighbouring field after the crash.

At midnight, the female driver, who had recently acquired her license, attempted to exit Roterijstraat onto the main road. The other vehicle moving from Ardooie collided with her vehicle on its side. Both cars flew into an adjoining field after the vehicles collided. Firefighters reached the incident site to remove the young woman by breaking her car window. The young woman received transportation to the hospital together with the passenger couple from the other vehicle after the crash. The hospital authorities reported that everyone affected by the accident is stable at this time.

What is the background of the Ardooie accident?

Roterijstraat meets Meulebeeksestraat at Ardooie, which forms part of an area known for traffic incidents because its physical setup creates visibility problems. The local authorities indicate drivers should proceed with caution when entering the main road, though the area itself remains safe from major accidents.

A 20-year-old driver who possessed her license for one month caused the crash, which drew attention to the limited driving experience of novice drivers at such crossings. Emergency responders from the fire department demonstrated the need for rapid response during similar emergency events by quickly reaching the scene. The authorities performed investigations and cleanup until they reopened the intersection.
