Antwerp (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): On 28th September  Saturday, a man was robbed on Orgelstraat near Theaterplein in Antwerp. Three suspects, aged 18 and 19, were arrested after police found the stolen watch during a café raid.

On 28th September Saturday night, a man was attacked and robbed on Orgelstraat, close to Theaterplein in Antwerp. Two young men approached him and started talking, but then one grabbed him from behind. They sprayed pepper spray in his eyes, making him unable to see and confused. While he was in that state, the robbers forced him to give them his expensive watch by threatening him.

How did police catch the Antwerp robbery suspects after the attack?

After the attackers took the watch, they ran away, leaving the victim hurt and confused from the pepper spray. The police were called and are investigating, but no one has been arrested yet, which worries people in the busy area near Theaterplein. Using camera footage, the police figured out where the suspects might be hiding and suspected a nearby café. They planned a raid, surrounded the café, and searched it carefully to catch the suspects. Several people were taken in for questioning as the investigation continues.

During the raid on the café, police carefully searched the place and found the stolen luxury watch hidden in one of the toilets. One of the suspects tried to flush the watch down the toilet to get rid of the evidence, but it didn’t work. When officers tried to arrest him, he fought back violently, leading to a struggle. Despite his resistance, the police were able to control him and take him into custody. In total, three suspects were arrested. Two of them were 18 years old, and the other was 19. They were brought before a judge for further legal steps. The suspects faced charges for robbery and trying to destroy evidence, and the case was made more serious because of their violent resistance during the arrest. The investigation continued as authorities worked to build a strong case against them, using the recovered watch and other evidence found during the raid.
