Accelerated Brussels Ring Work Amid Weather Concerns

The work on the Brussels Ring, which was to take place for the third and last time this weekend, has been brought forward due to the bad weather conditions expected this weekend. Sofico, the Walloon network manager of motorways, reports Monday. The works will start at 10 p.m. on Tuesday and end at 6 a.m. on Friday.

The works concern the section of the Ring between Braine-l’Alleud and Waterloo. According to Sofico, the decision to bring forward the works is the only option to complete it before the start of the new school year, which already falls on Monday 28 August in French-speaking education.

To reach Brussels, a diversion is in place from the Hoog-Itter interchange and all roads that converge there (E19/A7, E411/A4, N25, N28, N280). Users must take the Ring West towards Woutersbrakel.
