Dilbeek man hospitalised after naked street incident on Ninoofsesteenweg

Dilbeek (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – A man in Dilbeek was taken to the hospital after walking naked on Ninoofsesteenweg and hitting a car. Police and MUG responded; he is under observation for mental health issues.

As Nieuwsblad News reported, a man was taken to the hospital on Wednesday morning, Dec 31, 2025, after being spotted walking naked on Ninoofsesteenweg in Dilbeek, in the province of Flemish Brabant, Belgium. Police received a call just before 11 a.m. about a man in the middle of the road. Officers arrived quickly to secure the area.

What happened when the naked man walked on Ninoofsesteenweg in Dilbeek?

Earlier, the man had hit another vehicle with his car. No one was injured in the collision. Ambulance staff and the Mobile Urgent Care Group (MUG) arrived at the scene. They helped the man and took him to a nearby hospital without any problems. 

He will remain there for observation while the medical staff assess his condition. Police confirmed the man was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Reports suggest he was experiencing mental health difficulties. 

One incident took place in Geraardsbergen in April 2022 involved the police stopping a man who was walking down Main Street in the nude. He was arrested for public indecency and fined. Another incident was reported in December 2025 when a man was found walking naked on Parklaan in Sint-Niklaas. The responding officers determined the suspect was not drunk, but instead had suffered from severe mental health issues. 

Another incident occurred in September 2023, where a 44-year-old male was seen naked in a Roeselare area, close to a cemetery and a dog school. The man was subsequently admitted to a psychiatric institution for evaluation and treatment. 

In May of 2024, a man was seen naked and bleeding on the Brussels Ring Road. He climbed on top of moving vehicles until he was stopped by police officers. Once apprehended, he was treated by an ambulance crew and taken to a local hospital.
