Deurne (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Deurne has a new cash point at Herentalsebaan 280. Batopin ATMs also operate at Frank Craeybeckxlaan and will open a 3rd at Bischoppenhoflaan 488 for wider resident access.
As GVA News reported, Deurne residents can now use a new ATM at Herentalsebaan 280 in Deurne-Zuid. The machine opened on Wednesday, Oct 15, 2025. Batopin has also installed 4 modern ATMs on Deurne’s main shopping street. They are located in the former SAS optician’s office, a building that had been empty for a long time.
What are Deurne’s new Batopin ATMs and where are they located?
The new Batopin ATM in Deurne followed a few months after the opening of the first branch on Frank Craeybeckxlaan in April 2025. A 3rd location will open soon at Bischoppenhoflaan 488, near Royal Antwerp FC’s Bosuil Stadium.
Alain Hoeckx (N-VA), district alderman for Local Economy, said the move is part of a broader plan to make ATMs more accessible in the district.
“Together with Batopin, we are looking at additional locations around the AFAS domain and Vosstraat,”
Hoeckx said.
“The goal is to ensure that every resident has an ATM within walking distance.”
The plan focuses on placing machines in busy and residential areas.
Batopin, a joint initiative by major Belgian banks, started in March 2020 to create a network of bank-neutral ATMs across the country. The first machines opened in September 2021, offering residents access to cash in areas where bank branches were closing.
