Kyiv (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – EU’s defence chief Andrius Kubilius met with representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine to discuss supporting air defence and collaboration with the United States.

As reported by UNN, European Union Commissioner for Defense and Space Andrius Kubilius held talks with representatives of the Office of the President of Ukraine. They consulted the strengthening of air defence and the results of discussions between Ukrainian officials and representatives of the US administration. The EU Commissioner was escorted by the European Union Ambassador to Ukraine Katarina Mathernova.

How is Kubilius supporting Ukraine’s air defence capabilities?

During the dialogue, Kubilius’s support was highly valued, including his assistance in supporting Ukraine’s defence capabilities. “I am convinced that in his new position, he will persist in helping Ukraine both in its fight for victory and on the way to full EU membership. Europe must keep a clear policy of backing for our country and shared security. This is one of the critical factors for a just peace,” stated the director of the OP, Andriy Yermak.

According to him, particular attention was paid to the struggle against Russian propaganda and its effect on the international perception of the war. “Andrius Kubilius emphasized that Ukraine defends the whole European continent.
