Flanders (Brussels Morning Newspaper): Residents in Aalst, Blankenberge, and Vilvoorde face newspaper delivery issues after Bpost’s transfer to AMP and PPP, with complaints of late or missing papers. Solutions are expected soon.

Many people need help with their newspaper deliveries. This is happening in Aalst, Blankenberge, and Vilvoorde. When they contacted Bpost for answers, they mentioned that Bpost is no longer responsible for newspaper delivery, as new private companies, AMP and PPP, took over on Monday, October 21st. A  strike at the Bpost distribution center in Wetteren is causing further problems.

What challenges are arising from the transition from Bpost to new private companies

The switch from Bpost to two new private companies for delivering newspapers is happening slowly, but it’s causing problems. Many people are either not getting their newspapers or are getting them late. Mediahuis, which publishes newspapers like Nieuwsblad and De Standard, has noticed this too. They said the change is happening in smaller areas across Flanders, like Blankenberge, Aartselaar, and Lanaken. It’s up to the new companies, AMP and PPP, to fix these issues quickly.

DPG Media, the publisher of Het Laatste Nieuws and De Morgen, says the delivery issues will be fixed soon. They reported that AMP is getting things under control, while PPP is still working hard to find a solution. PPP has seen more complaints and expects to solve the problems by early next week.
