Antwerp (Brussels Morning Newspaper): On October 16, a shooting in Antwerp’s Jezusstraat injured three people, with two in critical condition. Four suspects, aged 23 to 38 and of Albanian origin, have been arrested. The investigation is ongoing as some witnesses remain unwell.

In Antwerp, the investigation into a shooting that happened on Jezusstraat is still going on. The public prosecutor’s office has said that not everyone can talk because some are not in good condition. This has made it harder to get complete information from everyone involved. Authorities are continuing their investigation to understand what led to the violence.

What led to the recent shooting in Antwerp’s Jezusstraat?

The shooting in Antwerp happened on Wednesday 16th October afternoon in an apartment on Jezusstraat, as reported by local police officer Wouter Bruyns. After the incident, several injured people were found in a nearby parking garage, which raised concerns about how serious the situation was. Emergency services quickly arrived, and police went to the apartment and the garage to help the injured and gather initial information.

Three people who were arrested were taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and two of them were in critical condition for a while. Another two people were also arrested. The police say there is no clear difference between the attacker and the victim right now. Spokesman Wouter Bruyns mentioned that all four people involved have been arrested. Three of them are badly injured. The investigation is looking into who fired a gun and if there were more than one weapon used. The police haven’t shared the names of those involved, but they said they are between 23 and 38 years old and are thought to be of Albanian origin.
