Antwerpsebaan crash; Moped and cyclists collide in Mechelen

Mechelen (Brussels Morning Newspaper): A 22-year-old driver crashed into parked vehicles on Oude Antwerpsebaan, sustaining minor injuries. Separately, a collision at Muizenvaart involved a moped and two cyclists, injuring a 17-year-old male, a 41-year-old male, and a 65-year-old woman.

An accident happened in Oude Antwerpsebaan when a 22-year-old driver lost control of his car and crashed into several parked vehicles. The incident occurred suddenly, causing a lot of damage to the parked cars. Witnesses reported hearing a loud crash as the car swerved and then stopped. No pedestrians or other drivers were involved in the accident.

What led to the crashes on Oude Antwerpsebaan and Muizenvaart?

The driver suffered minor injuries and was quickly taken to the hospital for treatment. Although the crash was serious, the driver’s injuries were not life-threatening. Emergency responders arrived promptly to assess the situation and clear the area. Authorities have started an investigation to find out what caused the driver to lose control, including checking if speed or a mechanical issue was involved.
