Brussels (The Brussels Morning Newspaper) – Spanish MEP Hermann Tertsch fiercely denounces Islamophobia as a fabricated tool of the left, designed to muffle Europeans and force them to bear a cultural invasion that threatens the very survival of Western civilization.

Is Islamophobia a Tool of the Left?

Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Hermann Tertsch, a member of the conservative Vox Party, has criticised the concept of Islamophobia, saying it is a fabrication by the same left-wing forces that have long maintained antisemitic sentiments. Tertsch claims that this term is used as a weapon to silence Europeans and force them to accept a cultural invasion that endangers the very fabric of their societies.

How Does Tertsch Differentiate Islamophobia from Antisemitism?

He emphasises a crucial distinction often obscured in political discourse: while antisemitism is a well-documented and historical nemesis, Islamophobia, he argues, is a strategic construct. According to Tertsch, this idea was developed to repress legitimate concerns about the influx of millions of people from predominantly Muslim nations into Europe, many of whom, he claims, do not intend to incorporate but rather to alter the cultural and social terrain of their host countries.

“There is a trap here,” Tertsch claims, “Antisemitism and Islamophobia are delivered as if they existed equally and were the same. That’s a lie.” He attracts attention to the resurgence of antisemitism in Europe, driven by both the left’s ideological opposition to Israel and the importation of millions of migrants who, he states, bring with them a deep-seated contempt for Jews. Tertsch cautions that this dual wave of antisemitism is pushing Europe increasingly dangerous for Jewish communities.

What Are the Dangers of Unchecked Immigration?

Tertsch points to the chilling stages witnessed in European cities, where groups of Muslims have openly called for the extermination of Jews and the annihilation of Israel. These demonstrations, he claims, are a clear indication of the risks posed by unchecked immigration from cultures with negative attitudes toward Western values, especially toward Jews.

How Does Tertsch View the Left’s Stance on Israel?

He also seeks what he describes as the left’s duplicitous perspective on Israel. He blames left-wing leaders for masking their antisemitism as anti-Zionism, with sculptures like Spain’s Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez being complimented by Hamas, a terrorist organization, for his government’s perspective against Israel. Tertsch notices this as further proof of the left’s betrayal of Western values and its difficult alliance with forces that seek to damage the safety and stability of European nations.

“Inventing Islamophobia,” Tertsch claims, “is a tactic to intimidate Europeans into stillness, forcing them to tolerate the unacceptable – an attack of a culture hostile to their way of life.” He emphasises that rejecting these “invasive attitudes” is not an indication of hatred but a critical act of self-defence for societies under attack.
