Brussels (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): Unia filed a complaint with Brussels police against Herman Brusselmans for his column inciting hatred against Jews. The public prosecutor is now investigating the allegations of anti-racism law violations.
Unia lodged a grievance against the author last Wednesday with the prosecutor. They averred that in his EDM he breached legal provisions that outlaw hate speech and violence against Jews. Spokesperson of Unia said it is up to public prosecutors now to make inquiries about it. Unia said their complaint was directed at writer and did not target weekly publication Humo Humos owner DPG Media.

According to the leading newspaper Herman Brusselmans expressed a violent and anti-Semitic feeling against Jewry when he saw a video of a Palestinian boy crying for his mother who had been caught under a carved building. The European Jewish Association and the League against Racism and Anti-Semitism lodged complains with the public prosecutors office concerning Herman Brusselmans statements.
In a meeting held on Wednesday the CCOJB committee for the coordination of Jewish organizations in Belgium announced that it would team up with the Flemish organization known as Forum der Joodse Organisaties to file a complaint against the writer. According to the resources at some point they went on to say we are going to hold Humo responsible for allowing the publication of said article.
