83-year-old Woman dies in accident at Lommel traffic lights

Lommel (The Brussels Morning Newspaper): An 83-year-old woman was hit by a car at traffic lights in Lommel, resulting in her death. Police are investigating the incident with a traffic expert to determine the cause.

The accident happened on 19th September around 5 p.m. at the traffic lights where Luikersteenweg and Leuken met in Lommel. An 83-year-old woman was hit by a car while she was crossing the street. The driver of the car crashed into her. 

What led to the fatal accident involving an 83-year-old woman in Lommel?

When the accident happened at the traffic lights where Luikersteenweg and Leuken meet in Lommel, an ambulance and a MUG (Medical Urgent Group) team quickly arrived. They started giving first aid to the 83-year-old woman who was hit by the car. Even though they tried to help her, including doing CPR, she did not survive. Her injuries from the accident were too severe, and she was dead at the scene.

After the accident at the traffic lights where Luikersteenweg and Leuken meet in Lommel, the local police looked closely at what happened. However, some important details are still unclear.
