3 men arrested in Moorsele exam centre for cheating

Moorsele (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – At the Moorsele exam centre, police caught a 20-year-old man cheating with a hidden camera and earpiece. 2 Men (25 and 32) in a linked suspicious car were also arrested.

As VRT News reported, on Monday, Aug 4, 2025, police were called to the Moorsele, in the province of West Flanders, Belgium, exam centre because a young man was suspected of cheating on his driving theory test. 

When officers checked him, they found he had a hidden camera and an earpiece. These devices let him get answers from someone outside during the exam. The man was 20 years old and used the equipment to try to pass the test unfairly. Police are now investigating the case.

What is happening with cheating at the Moorsele exam centre?

Police found 2 men inside the suspicious car near the Moorsele exam centre. One was 25 years old, and the other was 32 years old. Police said one of the men had already passed his theory driving test earlier that same morning. 

It is not clear if he was involved in cheating. The police arrested the young man with the hidden camera and earpiece, and also the 2 men in the car. All 3 were taken for questioning as the investigation continues.

The day after the first incident, police caught another person trying to cheat at the Moorsele exam centre. This person was taking the driving theory test when police stopped them. It is not known if this case is connected to the earlier one with 3 suspects and the car.
