Were 3 masked men behind the latest Krefel robbery in Drogenbos?
The staff and 2 customers inside the Krefel store in Drogenbos were threatened during the robbery. The 3 masked men demanded the contents of the cash register. The employees handed over the money, but since the store had not officially opened, the amount was small.
The suspects also went into the storage room and stole around 20 mobile phones. After taking the cash and phones, they left the store and drove away in a car parked nearby, according to Commissioner Ken De Decker.
The 3 suspects remain at large, and the investigation is still in progress. One of the customers was sent to the hospital. The store has temporarily closed its doors after the robbery. Police make evidence as they ask for witnesses or anyone with information about the robbery or the identity of the suspects to reach out.
Earlier this year, as reported, on November 15, 2024, a computer store on Kattestraat in Aalst was the target of a vehicle-borne robbery. Thieves stole various electronic devices, prompting the police, led by spokesperson Lisa Wynendaele, to start an investigation. The store owners have still not released a full inventory of the stolen devices. The incident has raised safety concerns among the local business community.
In 2018, a failed robbery was reported in an e-cigarette shop in Montignies-sur-Sambre, Charleroi, where 6 men were still the main suspects. The shop owner was arrested after suggesting to the men that they should return later to the shop as there would be more money in the register, an offer they foolishly accepted, and were arrested on the spot
