2 Dendermonde minors & a woman arrested in Namur robbery

Namur (Brussels Morning Newspaper) – 2 minors from Dendermonde were sent to a closed institution after a violent jewellery robbery in Namur on Monday, Dec 22, 2025. A 19-year-old woman was arrested. Jewellery worth €1,040 was stolen.

As VRT News reported, 2 minors from the Dendermonde region have been placed in a closed youth institution after a violent robbery at a jewellery store in Namur, Belgium. The 2 other suspects, both minors from the Dendermonde area, appeared before the judge on Wednesday morning, Dec 24, 2025. 

What happened in the Namur jewellery robbery?

At around 12:00 AM on December 21, 2025 – shortly before noon – there were 3 minors involved in an armed robbery at the jewellers. The police have been notified and are currently conducting an investigation. The jeweller sustained injuries during the incident.

One of the suspects struck the victim during the incident. The jeweller was injured, but his life was not in danger. The suspects fled with jewellery valued at €1,040. Emergency services arrived at the scene to assist the victim. All 3 suspects were later arrested. A 19-year-old woman appeared before an investigating judge and was placed under arrest on suspicion of robbery with violence. 

Belgium has seen many similar robbery incidents involving apparel stores located within cities, including Brussels, Antwerp & Liege. Often, these incidents involved young offenders and were executed violently. 

Police officers arrested many suspects very shortly after each incident occurred. Investigating judges used to impose confinement for all minors participating in the robbery incidents in question.
