A man in a pink bathrobe was caught legging it from a multiple car pile-up on a residential road.
Dashcam footage captured the moment a car appears to pass through a red light before smashing into a traffic light in Prescot Road, Liverpool.
It then swerves out of control and a long-haired man wearing a pink robe runs off while being chased by police on foot.
Witnesses said police caught up with the man and tackled him to the floor.
Several other vehicles were also involved in the crash, which left five people injured.
A police spokesperson said they were all taken to hospital to have their injuries assessed.
Steve, 48, who lives near the scene, said: I got up and looked out of the window and saw the cars had already stopped.
My partner was at the window and saw a guy running from a black car being chased by police on foot. She saw them tackle him.
Steve, who didnt want to leave his surname, said he helped pull three people from one of the cars.
He said: I legged it out straight away and helped pull three passengers out of the white vehicle.
I think it was a mother and two children – they were shocked but none of them had any visible serious injuries.
We lay them down in case of any neck injuries. Police were already on the scene almost immediately.
I think there was another car involved – the driver was a lady in her 40s who was walking around.
Its a miracle nobody was killed.
