Manchester United defender Phil Jones limped out of his side’s clash with Huddersfield after sustaining a leg injury.
The England defender went down after making a last-ditch tackle 25 minutes into the clash and told reporters in the tunnel that he had injured his quadriceps.
The 25-year-old’s been in great form so far this term and was replaced by Victor Lindelof moments later. Jones was clearly frustrated with the injury and was seen hitting the pitch in anger after going down.
United were soon behind to Aaron Mooy’s opener and Mourinho will be sweating on Jones’ fitness ahead of a clash against Tottenham at Old Trafford next weekend.
Laurent Depoitre then put the hosts 2-0 up after a mistake from Jones’ replacement Lindelof.
The Swede had played just one minute of league football before today and his rustiness showed as United condeded just their third and fourth league goals of the season after Jones went off.
