Employees are forced to flee and hide inside the store on Hackney Road, London as the man runs at them brandishing the stick above his head.

Witnesses claim the brawl started over a stolen Pot Noodle, according to the Mail Online.

But the customer runs back towards them wielding a huge wooden stick he picked up from the ground.

Harry Anderson, who filmed the video on January 16, told the Mail Online: ‘I don’t think the Tesco worker should have reacted that way at all.’

‘They showed absolutely no respect for each other – no matter who the person is you can’t do that.’

A Tesco spokesperson told Metro.co.uk: “We’re aware of this incident and are investigating what’s happened.”

It is thought it may have happened over a shoplifting accusation although there is no evidence any crime was committed.
